Dayton III's Bi-Amping

Hi guys!

I've read a lot on this foum and and other to find answer to my question but I didn't find any answer. Here it is:

I am planning to build the Dayton III's project. The amplifier that is going to drive them is a Marantz 2275, 75rms per channel. There is two stereo outputs behind the receiver. One is ''Main Speakers'' and th other is ''Remote Speaker'' as many amplifier does.

Should I build the Dayton's III biamped and connect the tweeter xover on the ''Main speaker'' output and the woofer xover on the ''Remote speaker''? Would it be worth it or it would'nt change any thing?

Thanks for your answers!

Jordan

Re: Dayton III's Bi-Amping

I wouldn't do it that way. True bi-amping uses and active crossover and separate amps. The reciever you refer to with separate outputs uses the same amp and switches the speakers either in or out. The same internal amp drives both speaker outputs. You won't gain anything and you will have to run extra wires.
