If you are going to spent the time to build these it is worth it to replace the non-polar electrolytic capacitor with the more expensive polypropylene alternative. The capacitors cost about $30 but make a huge difference in the sound quality. I have built both versions and the difference is huge. These are the speakers I have at work and the other employees noticed the difference very easily. The base is less booming and more coherent.
