V.A. / BRITISH BEAT COLLECTION VOLUME TWO (3CD CLAMSHELL BOXED SET)

V.A. / BRITISH BEAT COLLECTION VOLUME TWO (3CD CLAMSHELL BOXED SET)

coming soon:relaxed:

‘Rare British Broadcasts The Beat Era / 1964 – 1968’. Compilation of historical rock and pop performances on British Radio 1964 - 1968. Featuring Nashville Teens. Dave Berry & the Cruisers, Paul Jones, Bystanders, Twice As Much plus many more.
Over 80 tracks, professionally re-mastered with background liners and rare archival photos.
The inoffensive Transcription Disc has been in and out of collectors’ hands since they were originally produced in the 1960s. Conceived and manufactured strictly for export only to commonwealth radio stations for international broadcast, today, they offer an ultimately fascinating document of British Rock and its family tree.
Together with insightful period interviews and a stunning collection of previously unavailable, exclusive recordings, Timebox has unearthed a treasure trove of British rock artefacts that reveal a hitherto untold history of bygone rock and pop.
Timebox very proudly presents the second instalment of the British Beat Collection 1964‐1968.

Re: V.A. / BRITISH BEAT COLLECTION VOLUME TWO (3CD CLAMSHELL BOXED SET)

Thanks for the heads up Paul, I got volume 1 of this and on the whole was happy with it, so I'm glad to see a second volume, I must admit the earlier stuff from 64 I'm not much interested in, it's the stuff from 66 onwards I'm keen on listening to,particularly those later 67 and 68 sessions. I wish that those were in chronological order also, I don't like having say a session from 64 mixed in with others from say 67 or 66, totally different music and vibe completely, but apart from those minor gripes a good collection.
