Really off-beat selection with a lot of tracks from all over the world in a mind-blowing orgy of sitars, fuzz boxes, tremelos, squawking vocalists and bad orchestrations. I actually like this box set and find it useful... in that, if I need to find a track from, say, Poland - I know one or two will be present here.
There'a a few MOR stars jumping on the psych bandwagon with strange entries from Acker Bilk and Johnny Hawksworth - but it's all good fun. In fact - this set is like a sort of secret history of late 60s/early 70s worldwide pop with all sorts of odd stuff hidden away in the grooves and a lot of the psych-ish instrumentals are really rather good.Volumes 4/5 later in week
Yes please for the other volumes. This had some really groovy and exotic instrumentals. Really high quality stuff. All killer, no filler. And mostly uncomped before, or at least rarely comped.
Thanks
