Wonder if anyone can help. I've been trying to fill a few holes in my collection. I'm looking for vinyl copies of Boulders Vols 2, 3, 6 & 10. Discogs don't allow as they are 'unofficial', despite being released on the Moxie label. Happy to pay reasonable price for Ex/Ex or better.
There are none on Discogs, as you know they are 'unofficial releases'... I don't like to think of them as bootlegs. I've never seen them advertised on Amazon. Ebay still lists them but they are invariably from US sellers and shipping fees are high to UK.
I use to see them regularly at record fairs for a tenner but I rarely go to them these days as I only have a few wants and end up trawling through the same old crap for no reward. I've gradually gotten copies online over the last 2 years for about £30 - £40 but Vol 6 hardly ever surfaces in decent nick as it's one of those black covers that's prone to ringwear. I wonder if some vols were released in fewer quantities or if demand for vol 6 is particularly high as I see quite a few vols 1, 7, 8, 10 but fare fewer 3, 4, 6. 9?
I 've tried posting on vinyl wants sites on Facebook but get no response. I check Ebay & CD&LP.com every couple of weeks but it's a case of blink and their gone. I guess my best chance is a specialist store. Psych-Out Records in Italy have Vols 5, 7, 8 in stock and Vinyltribes in Spain are always acquiring new items so I live in hope. I guess it's part of the fun of record collecting, hunting stuff down but the search for this is getting a tad tedious.
