Oggetto: pensiero ( espresso in prima persona ) relativo all\'impostazione
tecnica utilizzata dalla nazionale olandese nel corso degli anni 70, sulla
base dell\'opinione del calciatore olandese Johnny Rep.

Ricordo i miei compagni con tanto affetto in quanto
è con loro che ho costruito le cose più belle della mia
vita; l\'aspetto principale del nostro gioco era basato
sulla continuità, l\'azione doveva nascere per essere
finalizzata e il gioco fluiva sempre con grande semplicità.
L\'azione partiva quasi sempre Haan in quanto era uno
dei giocatori più veloci ed elastici, si cercava di coinvolgere
i terzini per dare maggiore forza alla squadra; Cruijff
rappresentava l\'elemento base dell\'intera squadra, quando
scendevamo, io, Cruijff e Neeskens, gli avversari non
riuscivano a fermarci in quanto il gioco da noi applicato
tendeva a creare sconcerto in quanto basato sulla sorpresa.
Van Hanegem e Suurbier erano quelli che correvano di più,
Jansen serviva per far centralizzare il gioco prima che esso
si spostasse sulle ali quindi il gioco partiva, in genere, da
Haan, i terzini si sovrapponevano e portavano avanti
l\'intero asse, a questo punto subentrava Cruijff; io, Neeskens
e Rensenbrink svolgevamo una specie di funzione di
supporto, l\'azione proseguiva con l\'innesto delle ali
e in genere si concludeva con me, con Neeskens o con
Rensenbrink.
Questo era lo schema tipico e usuale di quando giocavamo.
La mia funzione era anche quella di rimettere a posto un
gioco che in alcuni casi non era corretto, quando vi erano
delle imperfezioni cercavo di intervenire per ovviare a tutto
ciò.
