My father in law served on the USS LSM 144. in going through his belongings, found numerous photos of the ship, the Philippines and Okinawa, plus several crew members. I would like to find a good home for these, any suggestions? |

I served on USS LSM-319 which the Australian Army renamed AV1353 Harry Chauvel. I sailed this ship from Sydney to Saigon Vietnam and return during May-July 1970. Then on AV1354 Brudnell White USS LSM-477 sailing again up and back during Sept-Nov 1970. We have published a book called \"Sailing Through 32\" as our Unit name for all 4 LSM\'s was 32 Small Ships Sqn. During late 1971 the unit was disbanded and the ships sold for scrap. |

I just found out that my father, Claborn Lee Corbett, Jr. served on the USS LSM 4. He enlisted in the Navy on 20 Sep 1944 and separated on 19 April 1946. He passed away on 31 August 1994. Just wondering if there is any one out there that remembers him. |

I see that my name is listed on the site with an email contact. My hope is that the spelling and email could be corrected. I have recently been elected as Vice President to the LSM LSMR Assoc. I\'d love to help update reunion info here as well.... My Dad (Ray W. Flanders) was on LSM 237. Thank you, Lynne Flanders lynnes-lines@juno.com |
