Re: starting a new week {smile}

Good Weekend to everyone,

I wanted to thank all who've sent energies for Mom. We had the brilliant news that the lump in her breast is benign! We're all so relieved, Mom and I shared some tears of happiness over the phone {smile}. That's now one tick off the list, with the next major happening being her hernia operation on the first, which is the one I'm really quite nervous about as the last time she underwent a major operation like that, she went into distress and they had to use the paddles on her three times before she came back. But sending out the request to the Universe and praying that all will go well and smooth.

Liz, I was very happy to hear that your knee is a "fixable" issue, and am sending out healing energies your way. Will also be focusing more the day of the microsurgery and asking that your recovery be a speed and thorough one.

Just popping this in quickly as I wanted to update you all on the good news (smile)

More thanks and love,
Diana

Re: A very snowy weekend! {smile}

Hello dear friends {Smile}

Sheesh what a weekend with absolutely tons of snow! It started on Friday evening and finally stopped properly this early evening. I said to Paul that apart from the fact that it is lighter you would think that we were in December! {smile} It has been log fires lit and keeping the heating running through the night albeit on a lower temperature setting.

Paul went and played golf on Friday and they gave up after 12 holes because of the biting winds. I was surprised they lasted that long! {chuckle} We went and got the shopping done because of the snow forecast and was very glad that we did so we have effectively been snowed in since Saturday. Mind you it is thawing somewhat now and the roads haven;t been that bad though the weather people said not to drive unless you had to and we didn;t have to thank goodness {smile}

{{Diana}} so good to hear the news about dear {{Loralee}} and I will be holding her in my thoughts and sending out energies for her when she has her surgery. I had a call from my own consultant's secretary on Friday and my surgery is now set for 10th April. I have to get my blood pressure re-checked on Wednesday with our local practise as it was too high when I was at the hospital on Thursday but as it is usually on the low side I don;t think it will be a problem. I hadn't had lunch, had had a large strong black coffee before seeing the consultant, and was a bit stressed after having just filled out a huge multi page questionnaire for their pre-surgery records! Even the nurse who took it said it was a bit silly as everyone's pressure was up a tad after having filled one of those forms in. {chuckle}

Is there any news on the {{Ed}} front yet? I hope he has got on board the fact that it is better that he is around for you rather than putting it off and off and then perhaps not being htere? {smile} I have been also holding Janelle in my thoughts and hope that it is not too long before she has a job that will be more suited to her. I hope that you are feeling better as well and it was good to read that you are sleeping better as I know what I am like if I have a disturbed night's sleep - am fit for nothing! Fortunately I am luck in that I usually sleep right through the night once my head has hit the pillow! {smile} I hope that you continue to improve on the sleep front sweetie so that your energies can then be on the up as well... am sending a dollop of {{healing energies}} across the pond to you together with some big warm {{{hugs}}}}.. {smile}

{{{elfina}}} putting a call out for you as it has seemed such a long time since you last posted - I do hope that everything is ok with you and Pat. Sending a {{{hug}} across the sea to you ad hope to hear from you soon. {Smile}

{{{kermit}}} hope all is ok with you as well sweetie and sending a {{{hug}} to you and {{B2}} as well.. Smile}

I know that we all have busy ~nows~ and I am remiss in not posting as much as I would like to but time is of course timeless in here so we can just pick up where we left off so as to speak... I just hope that everyone is alright.

Well before I go into real worrywort mode I will pop this post in now as it is nearly time for dinner for the wolfpack. it's hard to believe that it is that time as it is still light outside! {smile} Next weekend our clocks will change for British Summer Time so we will lose an hour I just hope that the snow will have gone by then although they are forecasting some more in the middle of the week. Looks like it could be a white Easter (which could make the Easter Egg hunt interesting!) {smile}

Leaving a little ~thought~ together with a {{{big warm group hug}} to {{all}} who may enter...

~Don't be afraid to take a big step if one is indicated.

PS please excuse if this is a tad garbled as I am typing it ~live~ rather than in a word document. {Smile}

The Easter weekend! {smile}

Good morning dear friends {smile}

Just popping in to wish everyone a Happy Easter.

It is still cold here (with a little snow still in places) but at least there is blue sky this morning with the sun shining! Perhaps we may even see a daffodil or two finally come out in bloom this weekend. {smile}

I hope everyone is well in their own ~nows~ and that you all enjoy the Easter holiday time.

much love always

mermaid...xxx

PS At least the time will show correctly by Sunday as that is when we go to British Summer Time here in the UK so will be the same then as the US hosted pages here. It is actually 7.06am here and not 8.06 as shown. {smile}

Re: The Easter weekend! {smile}

Hi to Everyone

Popping in to send my love to everyone, I feel this huge gratitude at times that this beautiful place was put here and has helped me through a lot of hard times, that I could never have got through without the help and love and support in here. Not being able to ask for help is my biggest downfall, and I've really been learning that lately, but when I do it is always there, sometimes in advance before I know I need it.

Diana: Just have to say this, Do NOT bottle things up, there is nothing wrong with having a cry, have been doing it a lot myself lately, in a slow release form so that there is not a flood.. haha. Dear friend, do not take on others energies unless they are of the highest intent, you need that healing for yourself. Get out in nature, get some clear space, I have been doing this for 4 months now, and the ocean is big enough to take it all. You know I am saying this from the bottom of my heart with all the love and respect I have for you and all that you have done to help me eh? Big hugs for both You and Ed.

Liz, Try glucosamine, fantastic for the joints, I was having a few knee troubles and after months of taking it don't have any troubles there now, part of it was spending so much floor time and kneeling, with the wee ones I was working with.

Kermit, Aww.. just sending a hug because I think you're cool..haha

A friend is someone who knows your song, and will sing it back to you when you have forgotten the words.

Love to everyone
Robynne

Re: The Easter weekend! {smile}

Good morning dear friends {Smile}

I hope that everyone is well in their own ~nows~ and enjoying the start of spring time/autumn time depending on whether in the Northern or Southern Hemispheres though we had snow blizzards yesterday and sunshine so a bit of everything really.{Smile}

Our clocks changed last night so now I guess the time will be accurate in the message board for me. As you can perhaps see then I am late this morning having lost an hour and I also stayed up late last night in getting some more pages completed and uploaded for the esoteric site as I know I won;t be able to today with family coming here this morning for an Easter Egg hunt and we have to be out this afternoon visiting a friend and perhaps getting to the boat for an hour or so to give her an airing. So always plenty to do. {smile}

{{Robynne}} how lovely to see you pop in dear friend and am sure that the help of your beautiful location and your family you will continue to come through - us Pisceans always have that strength within us (indeed as do we all). I know times seem to have been challenging for me these past couple of years even though I may not write much of it in here so I am just as ~guilty~ of not asking for help as anyone! {chuckle} Mind you the Universe always provides us with help and what we need even if it is sometimes not what we happen to want at the time. Help is always just a thought away. {smile}

My knee problem is from an injury got on the boat rather than just creaky joints so as to speak. In fact the X-rays and MRI scan showed that "it is a very good knee indeed" (to quote the words of my consultant)so he just has to get the loose piece of whatever it is floating around behind the kneecap (and giving me the problem) out and hopefully all will be well. I will however get some glucosamine as have taken it before so thank you for the reminder. {{{hugs}}} and love to you sweetie and to the family. xxx

{{diana}} hope all is well with you sweetie and sending out some {{healing and positive energies}} across the Pond to you.

{{kermit}}} Likewise dear friend I hope all is well with you and {{B2)} and sending you a {{{warm hug}} across the Pond.

{{elfina}}} I saw a post from you in FB that you have your grand daughters visting you today. Are they visiting you in Florida or are you back up north again. I don't use FB that much although I have popped updates on the astrology pages in there but I did see last night when I left a line your post re easter. I guess with FB and other online things then there isn;t any time left to leave posts here so I do hope that all is well with you and that you will pop in here again as and when you own ~now~ permits. In the meantime sending you love and a {{{warm hug}} across the sea.

Well looking at the time I had better get this posted and go wake Paul up and feed and walk the dogs as the children and grandchildren will be here in an half and a half! sheesh where did that hour go! {chuckle} I am going to leave a little ~thought~ here today from the Bible as we celebrate the Christian Feast of Easter today yet it is Truth beyond religion. {Smile}

"Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud, it is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails...... –Corinthians 13:4-8 "

Happy Easter to {{All}}

with love always

PS hope this isn't too rambly as I am typing it ~live~ so excuse typoes as well. xxx

Re: The Easter weekend! {smile}

Hello to All,

Robynne, how wonderful to see you! And I wanted to express my sincere thanks for your beautiful insight and support {smile} Sometimes overcoming the conditioning within us is the hardest part. I've often thought of my "Dragon's Tail" in Capricorn as symbolizing the ingrained conditioning from a past life (especially as it's also in the 1st house) that I need to "be strong," "rely upon myself," and "do it alone." That's all well and good, but sometimes, that doesn't work lol. And this is where the learning of the Dragon's head comes in this lifetime for me with it being placed in the sign of Cancer and located in the 7th house. I'm so happy to hear that your own energies have been rebuilding though. Seeing you come by here again really did my heart good.

Dear Liz, echoing Robynne's sentiments, I can't possibly express just how grateful I am to you for this place of love, laughter, warmth, and sharing. Across the years, we've seen joys and tragedies, uplifting moments, and times when we've all been quiet and withdrawn. But we always know we have this beautiful oasis to return to, and that our beloved Mermaid will be there with her fin playing at the water's surface, her lovely face turned up to the sun and ready to welcome our return {smile}

Mom goes into surgery at 11:00 am. She talked to me about the desire not to be kept on machines should "anything happen." I told her of course I will honor her wishes, and she is also putting the order in with the hospital. It's been a challenge to sit her on my hands when I'm used to being the one to drive her to the hospital and wait during surgery, then take care of her during recovery process, etc. Yet this is the way of it, and there is a lesson in it for me as well. But your thoughts and prayers, dear friends, for a safe and effective surgery, and rapid/thorough recovery would be hugely appreciated by herself and me. We all know just how powerful prayers are as we've witnessed here so many times {grin}

Ed has decided to undergo chemo. So now, are rescheduling everything and waiting on various departments to get back to us. It's really become a nightmare at the VA for health services for him, and our other Vet friends who've experienced just as much difficulty and reduction in quality of service. With 30,000 more returning Vets expected to come home soon, can only imagine what the state of things will look like then, and these poor new Vets will have even less care than the ones from Ed's era and beyond. Anyways, enough of that rant {chuckle}

Ok, best get in gear here. We have a lady from ALTCS coming in a bit to evaluate Ed for additional medical services. Rather than just get angry at the care he's receiving, I looked into supplemental services for him we could afford and found out he can potentially qualify for these folks and not have to pay anything out of pocket. He'll have access to Urgent Care Clinics (instead of a VA ER that has only 3 rooms and 1 ER doctor), several hospitals, and another medical team ready to assist. Plus many more benefits.

Hoping all have a good week. Sending out a wave and hug to Elfina and Kermit too!

Love to all,
Diana

Re: The Easter weekend! {smile}

Just popping in on the way to Neptune land and wanted to say that I have been holding dear {{Loralee}} in my thoughts and hope that all is going well with her surgery.

I sent out a little request to {{dear Raphael}} to watch over her and help her through and also for you dear {{diana}} as I know you will be worried so as soon as you know how {{Loralee}} is please pop in and leave a quick message in here.

Will write more in the morning... til then sending out extra {{{energies}}} for {{Loralee}}} and you {{diana}}} and leaving a {{warm group hug}} for {{all}}.

with love always

April time

Good morning dear friends {smile}

We have a beautiful sunny start to the day but it is still soooo cold with a strong Easterly breeze. It is still going to be cold this week with the temperatures finally getting into double figures for next weekend but at least the sun is shining! {smile}

Here it is the start of a working week as we had a public holiday yesterday and it is going to be quite busy as I have the electricians coming this morning as we appear to have a supply problem in the main house with something overloading the system although we are at a bit of a loss as to what.

Fortunately there is a separate supply at this end where the study is so I could site and write a post! {Smile} I am going to have to get the dogs walked a little earlier than usual as Paul has to go and have a bloody test first thing and I need to have got the animals done and be back in the house before he goes whilst we wait for the electrician to call.

{{Diana}} I hope that all has gone well with dear {{Loralee}} and was a bit concerned when I looked in here first thing to see no news. Sending out {{loving energies}} across the Sea to you dear friend {{{hugs}}} and will check back in here later once I have got the day started and Paul off to the doctors. Til then

love always

Re: April time

Hi All, hoping you all had a good Easter. I am very short on energy at the moment so will just stop in to say hello. My daughter and her family will leave tomorrow so I will have more time to post. I'm sorry for not posting sooner and will try to do better soon. *****

Re: April time

So sorry for the delay in posting. Our internet was down from late yesterday afternoon until midmorning today due to an upgrade of our providers system in our area, or I would've been by sooner for an update. I was also going to call you Liz, but then realized I haven't got international calling on my phone, so that was a bust as well.

Mom not only came through the surgery brilliantly, and with no complications, but her recovery is setting out to be at record speed {grin}. The doctors were so pleased with the results, and with how she responded in recovery, that they sent her home about six hours after surgery was complete. Now, is the long haul toward healing as they've told her no lifting at all for two months.

Thank you so much dearest Liz (and all else who've sent energies and prayers), as proof positive that they indeed work, as we've always known they do {smile}. She was positively bouncing with energy today.

And an update on Ed as well. When his liver specialist found out the situation we're living in (with drug dealer right next door and the other issues happening when the manager is gone), she was furious. She told him it was a good thing he hadn't started the chemo as she would've had to pull him off of it. In her words, not only would it have been ineffective (the treatment) but it would've been detrimental, possibly even hazardous to his health under these stressful situations.

So, Ed bluntly asked her if he has "time" to wait the five months until our lease is up and we can legally move with the housing voucher in tact. She said yes, but she wouldn't want to risk it beyond six months. She said the last results of his MRI and other reports came back encouraging and that there actually seems to be some "unexplained improvement." The caveat is that she wants to keep a close eye on those tests, and if condition worsens, she has indicated she will sign off on a medical release that should get us out of our lease here so we can move to a better area. There's now a permanent note in his medical records that he must be given housing in a safe and healthy environment, and that the VA needs to make every accommodation possible to ensure this. We could force a break in the lease but that would likely take two months of meetings and housing court, and would also be a stress on Ed, so it seems at this juncture, with the "ok" from the oncologist and liver specialist, that waiting until September (barring him sliding downward) is the best course.

Elfina, was happy to see you in, but concerned about your energy level. Whacking out some your way as I type this.

Kermit, wondering where you are buddy.

Liz, glad to hear that your knee appears to be in good condition, and that an orthoscopic procedure to clear away the debris behind your knee should result in a much better go for you. Knee pain is so horrible, as they're such a pivotal point to our mobility> Sending healing thoughts out to you dear friend.

Ok, going to plop this in and go enjoy a little TV with Ed now that the "worry" is over regarding Mom. Again, thanks to all so much for your prayers and wonderful energies.

Love to all,
Diana
