Anyone have any comments about this cd just released by the fab Guerssen Records?The songs on this were recorded between 1969 -1972,and features maximum overload on the fuzz pedal,heavy psych rock indeed.

Speakin o' hebbyrock, somehow Oz lp "Volcanic RocK" by Buffalo always evaded me, but just heard this orther day and its no-filler Sabbath-clone (from 1970, nonetheless!). Very good simple cram.

A lot of the tracks are on youtube Stuart. I think it was issued before in a bastardised form by Kissing Spell but maybe wrong. I was going to get both volumes on 2 x LPs, the sleeve art is very nice. However, having sampled it on Youtube, I found it to be rather monotonous and samey. The guitarist is pretty good but it doesn't really go anywhere. I am more interested in the upcoming Axe LP / CD on Guerssen.

No not yet. It will probably not be until September now, a lot of reissuing activity stops as of July. I guess everyone goes on holiday.

Can anyone give me an idea of what their other album, Psychotic Overkill is like? Better, worse than Axeman?

"psychotic overkill" has a more doomy sound, it has one of their best tracks, "I'm a freak", proto-motorhead sound!
